4/16/11

A cloudy rainy day, very calming. One can go as far as to say it's beautiful. I wonder if this is what living in Seatle is like. The pitter padder of rain is the soundtrack. I wish I had someone to share it with.
Nothing but grey. Some thunder and lightening. I don't feel like leaving.
The thunder is a roaring tiger, not threatening, but just letting you know it is there.
The rain is constant. It washes away the pollen. It is cleansing us of our sins. The thunder keeps us awake. We won't settle. The rain tip toes on our clothes cools us off in spring.
Sometimes the thunder sounds like an airplane over head diving and accelerating to the target which is us.
Day like this might have some fender benders. Chaos was outside, when I went out to buy cigarettes. Kroger was congested like people were trying to stock up for the storm.
Wonder if the sun will ever come out again. It must be resting its eyes.
The clouds cover the sky, defenders of the sky creating barriers not to be tested.
The rain collects in puddles. Swimming pools for the ducks.
NOw it is falling harder, lightening lights up the sky for a few seconds. Adds a few shades of yellow or a bright white.
Cars drive passed splashing in the puddles there is no escape from the water.
Dark grey over head, very noticeable like a black eye. Is the rain tears falling from the heavens? They will not surrender. I seek sheltor inside my apartment.
It is cool kind of cold and the rain keeps falling. Just when you think it is about to quit, it rains harder and the thunder puts you back in your place.
